  • Supports easing of menstrual discomfort.

Vitex agnus-castus (chaste berry) has been used since ancient times for a variety of gynaecological ailments. Vitex is a herb which helps to regulate the menstrual cycle and assist in the management of premenstrual syndrome (PMS), including temporary relief of cramping, irritability, nervousness, moodiness, breast tenderness, headaches, bloating and mild fluid retention.

It does this through its ability to maintain a normal balance of oestrogen and progesterone in the body. Using vitex after cessation of the contraceptive pill may help stabilize the menstrual cycle and assist with the return to regular post contraceptive ovulation. A three-month treatment period with vitex is often recommended after the pill and before any attempt at contraception.
